Traditional fresh batter for idly and dosa. Each container contains 900ml of batter, which can make 15-18 idlies

Made with urad dal (lentils), rice and fenugreek, the grains are soaked, stone ground to a fine consistency and then naturally fermented over 8 hours.

How to use the batter:
The batter is best for idlies during the first 3 days - take small amounts of the batter in an idly tray or silicone muffin tray, and steam for 10minutes to make soft and fluffy idlies
After the first 3 days, the batter continues to naturally ferment and turns ready for crispy dosas. Add a little bit of water to help make dosas (similar to a crepe) on a hot griddle, add a little bit of oil and ghee to help crisp it up!
